Laser therapy is done with a handheld laser against the targeted problematic area on your pet’s body. Therapeutic light waves from the laser stimulate a chemical reaction that increases cellular metabolism. This stimulates blood circulation and regenerates cells, which reduces inflammation and promotes pain reduction and faster healing. Laser therapy can also reduce scar tissue formation.
There is no surgery or medication required for laser therapy. Pets feel no pain from the laser treatment, only a warming sensation around the problematic area. Sessions last for a few minutes and we find that most pets relax and enjoy the therapy, with some even falling asleep during the process!
